While we never had any claim issues, I did have a problem paying over 5000/yr between home, auto, and life insurance coverage. After shopping around and finding about $700 less for an "apples to apples" policy on home and auto with another provider, we called our local agent to see if he could do anything to lower our premiums, which he could not. He was told we would not be renewing the home and auto policies that ended 9/29. Got a bill in the mail for $232 dollars today, the billing department claims our policy ended November 1. Our cards show an expiration date of 9/29, and the new cards they sent with our semi-annual billing statement run from 9/29-9/29. Even better, the bill they sent says us we don't pay by the 19th they'll send it to collections, and when I called the local office I was told that if I wanted to discuss it further I'd have to speak with the billing department, because she can't see anything in the system since we cancelled the policy. Right. We still have our life policy with them, but I see now it's time to pull it too.

Bought my house in 2008. Went with FFB Tavares, FL. under the recommendation of family member. Added auto insurance, then life insurance, then Gen. Liab. Insurance. So they had the lot, I filed a claim in 9/15 because of a small leak in the upstairs addition. Mold inspectors came and discovered a $3k problem.....10 days later we receive notice of cancellation due to "substantial change in risk covered by policy, unacceptable upkeep and maintenance of dwelling and premises." Sounds more like libel to me.... Florida Farm Bureau is only a premium collector and not a real insurance company interested in insuring families, homeowners, or business owners. I'll take my payments elsewhere, but not before consulting an attorney.

Farm Bureau doesn't cover ANY cement problems. So we want our MONEY back, they took our money knowing they would NEVER COVER ANY CEMENT PROBLEMS. Our home is an Earth Home made of Cement! They are Lying to us, Isn't that Fraudulent!

I had a truly terribly experience with agent Rhonda J Ott. While going through a divorce she was unhelpful, did not return multiple phone calls and only partially answered email questions. I was asked in separate emails to send the divorce decree, signed change form by myself and ex husband, among other documents only to find out he could not be removed from the policy. It was inefficient and a waste of my time to request different items in different emails only to not honor my request. She is both not knowledgeable but also fairly rude and took no ownership for the lack of return call or lack of follow up. I gave her several opportunities to fix the errors, apologize and keep my business and even after explaining my frustration to her she failed to apologize for all the leg work she had me do. I am now paying MORE for another carrier because I refuse to give her my business.

Headquarters can't seem to remember to not take money out of account even after insurance has been cancelled. Takes them 2 months to return money. Car and Home insurance rose significantly without any notice.

I have been a customer for Farm Bureau over 2 years. I have never had any kind of accident with them until one day a car hit me. I called Farm Bureau and told them that they wouldn't pay up. So they give me a ladies name which was Holly Garrity because she was the adjuster for my situation, she had to fight for me supposedly and she had to come to my town, I didn't have to run her down. Why do I have to pay for someone that was on his/her phone and hit me, when in the first place he/she should have not been on his/her phone then this would not have happen. So therefore, I switched Insurance and my bill is 3 times cheaper!!!
I have been with them but ever year, my rates go up without any claims. It has went to 665 to 1244 in three years

Being a faithful customer with Farm Bureau apparently means nothing to them. We have 2 cars in our family and rarely make a claim. I made a claim this year regarding paint that was coming off my car due to a substance getting on it and baking it in the sun for 5 hours and ruining it. Long story short it went through 2 adjusters who gave excuses like due to the age of my car the paint was just coming off from sun damage. One adjuster even referenced a webpage about sun damage and it was natural to happen with my Toyota. They made me feel like I was lying to get this covered. I went above them and the next person said he thought I had gotten a bad paint job and was trying to cover it up. Really?!!! I took my car to 2 paint experts and they both agreed the damage came from a substance and it was not a natural occurrence. Farm Bureau needs to get some professionals and be loyal back to their customers. So disappointed in this company and am working on getting a new insurer.

my granddaughter was hit on her motorcycle 2 weeks 4 days ago. Farm Bureau agent ( Kirk # 903-455-6784) ) has not helped her at all. It was clearly the pickup truck's fault who y'all represent. She's in college & the Army. Is this how they treat a soldier. They didn't get her a rental car & she needs medical help & transportation back & forth to doctor & college. Kirk didn't even return my call. I'm very disappointed & would never use this guy or his company to help me or my family.

we have had them since 2008 car and renters, then in 2011 we got a home, in 2014 our home had damage we got the run around on the repair. we looked in to other places but still could not afford the others. in 2015 we traded one car for a new truck. we have always had 3 cars on our policy . they changed coverage on the existing car from full coverage to plpd. I went in the office to make sure the one car was gone and the pickup was added with full coverage, i asked if there was anyother changes and was told no. then my parked car was hit in a parking lot the other driver left. made a police report and went to my agent only to find out i had plpd on that car, i argued with them but got nowhere. I asked for a new agent and got no where. not its time to renew and pay that "membership" fee, we are not renewing.

Looking for individual health insurance due to losing my group plan, I went with FH or United Health Care- their carrier. So far, have to carry two plans for my family (over $ 1,000 per month); all claims so far they consider pre-existing, even a sore throat. Have to wait six months for coverage. Then received letter that they are increasing the premiums almost 20% three months after the start of the policy. This insurance is absolutely worthless. I’m cancelling and will find anything better than this. Run for life on this one or pay them money for nothing.

This is the absolute worst and incompetent agency and company out there. They will screw you and take your money in return with out even a friendly tug. Customer service is atrocious and without regard. They will hang up on you and put you on hold until you hang up. Claims take forever to be processed. They will argue estimates that are lower than there own.

We have had FB because one of my good friends is the Agent.
I always thought they were a great company! BUT IM NOT GOING TO THINK THAT NOW! I use to tell people FB is second to none! But now I will say it's PATHETIC! We've had most of all our insurance with exception of a few things with FB. The claims adjuster we have had for the car accident in Iowa doesn't return calls, acted as if it was inconvenient. Not Impressed! It wasn't taken care of so good luck at claim time!

I started Farm Bureau with the hope of a lower premium. When I first enrolled they seemed great, quoted me a reasonable price but then BAM, first bill was 127$ more expensive then originally quoted. Why? Because I didnt pay their activation fee (Which they never told me about) Then I payed it, still MUCH higher then what they quoted me for. After 6 months of coverage someone hit my parked car and didnt leave any info, Farm Bureau was NOT sympathetic and it took FOREVER to finally get them to cover a little more then half the cost (My deductable was 500$ and they covered 672$) for paying 276$ a month for FULL COVERAGE they seemed to skip around and try to pay the least amount to repair my vehicle.. Their customer service was HORRIBLE. When I called in to report the accident the lady LAUGHED and then seemed very distracted while asking me information. I will never recomend Farm Bureau. I switched to Allstate and my deductable is 250$ and I only pay 83$ for FULL COVERAGE and i get better coverage. I feel very cheated from Farm Bureau.

my wife and i have been a member 27 years. excellent customer service, early claim payments. then as soon as we had a tornado in the area, all heck broke loose, we had our renewal denied because too many claims. had at least three last 5 years. all but, one weather related. they not only failed to advise us that with a deductible of 250 dollars, we could be subject to loss of benefits or policy. we advised them that we would gladly raise our deductible to 1000 dollars as many other companies are doing now. this would reduce the smaller claims, and allow families to keep their policies. i have been shopping now for three days. i was notified by mail this past saturday. i called and offered compromise terms. no they couldnt do that to a family membership, no lets treat them like dirt. forget the loyal 27 years. very embaressing.

dropped after twenty years. made a mistake, I filed a claim. Theyre a great insurance company to pay premiums too as long as you never have to use them. Senior citizens beware. I do not recommend you trust these people. Wish I could tell you the whole story. But they might sue me .

We called filed a claim for roof damage adjuster came out never went on the roof shingles were laying in the yard she said it wasn't enough damage and now they sent a inspector out then dropped our policy because of roof damage this is fraud we used the farm bureau in gray ga.and also we have notified the insurance commissioner we have also learned there doing a lot of people like this it's fraud and it needs to be stopped.

We have just had a terrible experience with Farm Bureau. After many reliable years our family has had our insurance with FBFS. Last weekend we had our first car accident; hitting a deer. Though the hood is a little bent and the grill is damaged, the car is still running fine. Our mechanic reported the repair costs to FBFS and it has been claimed as a total loss; giving us half the dollar amount it would take to purchase the same vehicle again. We are extremely disappointed and saddened that we have been paying for insurance that will not help us when we encounter a deer on the road; which I believe is the #1 cause for car accidents on the roads today. If this claim stands, we will certainly be searching for a new insurance company.

Got $800 after deductible for clean up of a tree blown over in a storm. My rate has increased $300 annually. If turning in such a small claim increases my rates this much, I would hate to see a real disaster happen.

I am writing this for my grandfather who recently passed away. This company is preying on the elderly! Ripping them off and refusing to give refunds or even processing their claims they continue to harass my family by sending us past due bills for service we did not have even though my grandfather has passed away. I have called countless times and every time they say some one is looking into it and will call you back soon, its September and my grandfather passed away in January. If you have an elderly loved one with insurance through this company please switch before its too late. Companies like this and the people that work for them should be out of business and a job.

Id love to tell all but all is still pending. But talk about slow motion. No response and return calls rating is a 0 out of 100. Paid a year in advance and already looking for a new carrier. No claims filed but can imagine what the future brings. Extremely disappointed.

I have had a combined farm/auto policy with KFB. I left the company a few years ago due to continuosly increasing rates and poor service. I went back to them because I couldn't find another company in my area that I felt offered "true" farm policies. Since I have resumed my coverage through KFB, my rates have increased significantly every term (with no claims filed). My auto insurance increased by 50+% in 15 months. The response and service to my request has been less than satisfactory to say the least. I reduced the cost of my auto coverage my 42% using a different, well known provider; and I reduced my farm (with actual farm insurance)policy by almost 18% and just prior to a sure increase in premium upon renewal. These reductions were even without a combined policy discount!

My home was insured by Farm Bureau in West Des Moines, IA. During a bad storm, a tree branch from my neighbor's tree fell against my house and damaged some siding. Both insurance companies (my neighbor's and mine) were notified. My neighbor's insurance company (not Farm Bureau) paid for the repairs to my home. Now it's a few months later, and I just received a cancellation notice from Farm Bureau. I called my agent and asked why I was being cancelled and he stated that I lived in a "high risk area". I asked what he meant by that and he referred to the incident with the tree branch. I then asked how does that make my neighborhood a high risk area? He replied that's how Farm Bureau does things sometimes and then he hung up on me! Thanks for being rude to me, and I'm sure my new agent and new insurance company will thank you too.

For Two years our agent at the Jasper County Georgia office has called us insisting that he could get a better deal on life insurance for my husband. We finally took him up on the offer and got this insurance. THREE months later we still have not received a copy of the policy. I called the office and was told it was going to be an additional 400.00 dollars a year. THANK GOD I CALLED ...during the three month wait I called several times and asked why no policy and was told everything was fine and you are insured. Not the case at all. Already paid 700.00 and now an additional 400.00 and all along we were not covered. Called the corporate office in Macon GA and still have not heard a word from them. Next step is the Insurance Commissioners office.... Also bought a new car in 2013 and went to the office myself to add the car and was told a year later the same agent did not put full coverage as requested.... I was told I had full coverage glad I didn't have an accident because I was not fully insured. Shopping around now to move home owners, life, auto and farm ins.... this place is careless.... DO NOT TRUST THEM !!

Was self employed the agent also self employed suggested buying disability insurance told me social security disability hard to get. Agent never explained social security offset clause in policy I bought. Policy sold to me I discovered was worthless from the start as there was never a possibility it would payout. I had it for 13 years. Biggest scam farm bureau had pulled on me. Iowa insurance commisioners office will not do a thing. Complaints against an agent are not registered with the state for public observation until 5 complaints of the same subject are registed and investigated by the state. So why do insurance companies get to have access to their customers records after just one violation or claim. The state of iowa is in bed with the insurance industry just go to west desmoines.

The worst insurance company I should never been with. Once you are not with them anymore, they gonna keep bill you for thing you don't awe. Till you give up, they will report you to collection and ruin your credit. Be aware!!
When you told them to cancel your policy, be sure to have proof, cuz they are gonna take that against you, says you never told them. And they keep bill you AND not even send you Any notifications. After months passes by, you will receive mail that you awe, and they will send you to collection if you don't pay. I HATE THIS COMPANY!!!
They charge me $187 for a car, new insurance charge me $99, same full coverage! This teaches me a good lesson, I will pass this on to everyone I know.

I have been a member now for about 3 years i insure my home and my vehicles and rates keep going up on both. the claim dept. is horrible i was in a terrible car accident which wasn't my fault and in my state of michigan you are entitled to loss wage benefits, here we are almost 6 months later still nothing, lost my job due to injuries and farm bureau is still making me jump through hoops. They are very unfair to their loyal customers this insurance company is ruining my credit along with my livelyhood.

Got a great rate the first year with a $400 premium increase the next year and no claims. Asked the agent why and he said it was an increase for the whole state. Ok . . . just received my renewal for next year and it went up another $400! I did have one claim when a tree hit my house but $800 premium increases in 2 years? I didn't even ask the agent what the excuse was this time . . . I just ran and got better coverage for a lot less with another company.

This keeps going up. I also don't like being forced to buy flood insurance when the county engineer can't use and up to date map and can't read elevation lines. My house is not in a flood area after the development from cow pasture, yet the cow pasture flood map from 1970 was used. In 2004 we had 100 year flooding and the whole area was high and dry.

They cancelled my policy because they made a judgement call that was unfair and would not listen to any appeals or respond to the appeal. The agent was not the problem but the company itself. Now I can't get insurance and I work hard to maintain a good lifestyle.

I am executor of Michael Hemphill's estate the agent didn't want to put on the paper work that I was executor. I told him that legally it had to be done. With much hymning and hawing he finally did it. I have spoke to him for years because I mainly handled bills. Mike and I were common law married. Since he thought he could talk to me like an idiot I DO NOT NOR WILL I EVER get insurance with him again.

EVERY CLAIM I'VE MADE SINCE HAS BEEN MET WITH EXTENSIVE SCRUTINY, WHETHER ITS A WATER PIPE INSIDE THAT BURST (NOT MY FAULT) OR HAIL/WIND DAMAGE OUTSIDE (MOST CERTAINLY I CAN'T HELP THAT!) . 2 YEARS AGO, I HAD A STORM/WIND DAMAGE CLAIM THAT RESULTED IN 1/2 ROOF ALLOTTED...OH YEAH, WHO THE HECK GIVES A CUSTOMER 1/2 ROOF WHICH NO LONGER MATCHES THE OLD SHINGLES AND REDUCES THE VALUE OF THE HOME. I'LL TELL YOU WHO, GA FARM BUREAU!!

After a severe hailstorm hit our area with several homes receiving siding damage, my home being among them, Farm Bureau refused to replace all my siding. The existing siding being 20 years old, they wanted to put new siding for the area that was severely damaged and leave it with the old siding on the other parts. We found this satisfactory customer service considering that we have paid our policy faithfully for the last five years. All my father neighbor’s insurance company replaced all of the siding on their homes and covered the whole expense.We will not be renewing with Farm Bureau.

Had a home owners policy for one year but when It came time for renewal and I was declined because I did not have my auto policy with them. Never came up with the first policy. From what I can tell this is not a state requirement, but an NCFB requirement. I had them quote me auto. It was slightly lower than what I had currently then, so I went with NCFB. This year we have had many changes. My daughters graduated and bought their own cars and their own insurance and it took months to get NCFB to remove these vehicles. First daughter was easy, they just did it, but the second they wanted to see all sorts of proof of insurance from the other career etc. OK, maybe that is a good practice but when I tell them my daughter lives 200 miles away, the loan for the car is in her name, the car she had that we bought her originally, and was on the NCFB policy was traded in and I no longer owned it AND the tag was turned in to the state (NCFB got a copy of the receipt), took 45 days which I had to pay for coverage of a car I no longer had!
Traded in RV Travel trailer for a new one and that took 2 months to get straight. The home office did not get the change I was told.
Recently traded in my car for a new truck. I emailed them several times that I was making the change, gave them vins, etc and my last email I sent them a copy of the receipt where I turned the tag in to the state. Dealer also called to verify insurance as well before they would release to me. 30 days later I get my renewal letter from NCFB and the old car is still showing and the new truck is not. Checked online and the same. Emailed them twice since and called and left V-mail. Crickets. I am generally perplexed about the lack of urgency on NCFB's part to make sure a paying Client is happy and all concerns are addressed.

We changed our vehicle insurance about 2 years ago, because they offered a cheaper rate and we had our home, farm and rental insurance there. Ever since then they have been raising our rates just because my husband backed over a stump in the yard. Greedy is what they have turned out to be and are raising our premiums on everything. We have got to find another insurance company, because 40 years of paying them a fortune means nothing to them. As long as you don't use it they are fine, but file a claim then they will STICK it to you. Don't go there!! You will be gouged to death and they want bat an eye doing it.

Claims Representative Melissa Burris on Friday May 25, 2018 stated that she had spoken to the body shop who is repairing our automobile and the gentleman said he would be finished with our automobile on Friday May 25, 2018 after speaking to the gentleman at the body shop he assured me he did not tell Burris that our automobile would be finished and ready for pick up on Friday May 25th 2018. Burris not only was unprofessional in her dealings with this claim but has attacked the character of a gentleman whom I'm sure she is not familiar. I invite Burris to this community to state in person verses over the phone that her statement was accurate regarding the conversation she had with this gentleman and to face us in person. Attacking someone's character by lying is not only unprofessional but deserves a courts ruling. My name is Sara Whitney and I will be waiting on Burris to appear in this community in person to state say exactly what this gentleman said to her in person with cameras.

FB dropped me after 10 years because I had 3 claims in 3 years. Apparently unforeseen claims are a reason to get dropped. Which is what I thought insurance was for. Also they did not tell me they were dropping me. My mortgage company told me. I tried to call my agent and was told he was on the phone with a customer. He already got his commission so I am sure he could care less. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

I searched online for cheapest insurance but it did not prove to have much difference from State Farm. They have hidden $ 50 annual membership fee also which they tell you when you reach in their office. Their customer dealing is really bad. Ignored my presence in their office many times. I have been a client for several years. This year they increased the required "membership fee" to even have insurance through them. This fee was never mentioned at the outset of getting a policy nor is it optional. I will be finding other insurance that doesn't have an unannounced fee.
After several years with this company, they cancelled our coverage because we are not living in the home. We still own the home and our grand daughter is living there.

- If you miss one payment on accident, switch bank accounts etc NOBODY follows up with you even if it is a bank error. NOPE they just flat out cancel your insurance via postal mail so you better make sure that's correct!
- They have HORRIBLE customers service... basically only available monday - Friday
- Good luck with towing and any extra packages that is a NIGHTMARE and hard to even access if you don't have it saved some where cause it definitely is NOT on their webiste LOL.

Got my homeowner's policy at the end of 2015. The agent himself came out and inspected my property so the policy could be issued. Then, after less than a year, my policy came up for review by the underwriters, so they sent a guy out. He showed up at 9 am on Saturday morning and was extremely rude. He looked around my place and left without any communication other than to let me know he was there. A few days later, I get an e-mail stating that my policy will be cancelled in one month because I have a pit bull dog. I called the agent (the one who originally inspected my place and saw my dog) and he was in agreement with me that my dog is NOT a pit bull. (She is a terrier / spaniel mix.) He asked for pictures of both of my dogs (the other is a 1/2 Husky, 1/2 yellow lab), which I provided. He said he would try to reverse the cancellation, but that sometimes his "hands are tied" and whatever the underwriter's report says is what the company goes by. Then, after a week, he is again requesting verification about the breed(s) of my dogs. I call him again to remind him that we had this conversation and that I already provided him with that information. He said he knew, but was just doing what the company is telling him to do. Then he tells me that the underwriter said on the report that he talked with me about the dogs, what breed they were and whether they had ever bitten anyone. (Again, no such conversation ever took place.) He added that the underwriter said he wouldn't have said my dog was a pit bull, except for the fact that my yard needed mowed (we had been having daily heavy rain for several days when this guy was at my house). Really?? Then the agent says that there are other "concerns" that he can't tell me about. I told him nothing had changed since the day he came out to inspect when the policy was initiated. This whole thing is ridiculous! All because this underwriter decided that my terrier / spaniel mix was a pit bull.

Terrible service with agents. Agent took our social, dob and other information etc and said he would call, never heard back from him. Each time we called, he pretended not to be in the office. We should have read all the reviews before calling this company. Just wish we hadn't given pertinent info. Save your time and money and go with a different insurance company.

I was rear ended, while sitting at a red light, by a Farm Bureau client, near McKinney, Texas. I filed a claim with them, and was issued a check which was written out to the PRIOR OWNER OF THE VEHICLE! The agent was anything but apologetic. This is the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. I had insurance with them several years ago, and had no problem, however I would never recommend this company again. The issue is still not resolved. I have a wrecked car in my driveway, and a worthless check on my desk. The accident was January 30th. Today is February 23rd. I have an appointment with an attorney today, because frankly I don't have the time or energy to continue to call Farm Bureau Texas corporate office repeatedly, and fax paperwork day after day, with no results.

Do not let them fool you by the initial cost. They raise the rates every 6 months and use any excuse possible. No accidents or tickets for 8 years and my rates still sky rocketed. If you are in an accident don't expect them to back you up either!! I had one accident that was not my fault a few days ago and they took liability for it. I have already switched to Nationwide who are wonderful!!

Rude Claim CSR's in New Bern, NC, December, 2015
I've been a customer with Farm Bureau for over 10 years, and have NEVER used my insurance. Called to check the status of a claim, and both females that I talked with had very unfriendly/ confrontational attitudes. I'm a paying customer, and the question and answer was very simple, and the conversation was brief. Glad it was nothing complicated, because obviously, they wouldn't be able to handle anything that would require a personality, or the customer service you'd expect from a company like Farm Bureau. Hopefully this is just an isolated incident in their New Bern, NC office. Might move all my business Insurance over to Nationwide, where they always have superior CSR's on the phone. 12/11/15

When I bought my house in 2012, I specifically asked the agent "I need coverage that pays the mortgage if anything happens to my husband because I can't pay this on my own", she assured me she gave it to me. I found out watching TV 6 months ago it is called mortgage protection, so all this time I thought I had what I asked for and I did not realize it was not there. A year ago my husband was diagnosed with cancer, this company has totally screwed me, now I can't get the coverage because he has cancer, meanwhile I was TOLD I HAD IT in 2012, by a LYING agent who could not even bother to update my phone number when I gave her the information. She was incompetent and now I am screwed thanks to her, thanks you terrible company! Use a different insurance agency if you know what is good for you, I sure wish I had!

Farm Bureau provides excellent customer service. They have various billing options available. We will renew unless we can find insurance cheaper; and at this moment, nothing is cheaper. I cannot address the claim process as we did not make any claims in 4 years. I would recommend Farm Bureau to anyone who is looking for quality insurance.

Went with farm bureau because we were given a great rate much better then Garrett insurance. That should have been our first clue. Spoke to agent numerous times. Didn’t renew previous insurance. 3 days after policy is in effect get a bill for $500, even though policy was paid in full. Contacted agent, he didn’t know what he was doing when he quoted insurance. Went to agency in person and were told they won’t cancel policy. 1 week later we get cancellation notice in mail. No communication from agent. If we add the extra amount farm bureau insurance was higher then previous insurance. Would never recommend them to anyone

It was easy to file the claim but everything else after that went downhill. I called the claims dept to give them the address where to send the check and the lady rep I spoke with was in a hurry to get me off the phone and could tell she didn't take the address down correctly. I waited over 10 days for the check to arrive and still hadn't received it. I called my claims adjuster and he said it's been mailed but when I confirmed to which address it was nothing close to where I asked them to send it. They had to stop payment on that check and reissue another one. I've been without my vehicle for 3 weeks. I was also told I could get a rental for 7 days but was never told I would need to pay $250.00 deposit. Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction needs some improvement.

I didn’t think a company could disappoint me more than Comcast. I should have looked up reviews for Farm Bureau before purchasing my home, car and life insurance policies with them. They denied my roof claim two yars ago. I had to come up with $10,000 to fix the roof and damage inside. I guess “it wasn’t storm damage” so it wasn’t covered.
Today, I was informed that my basement flooding wasn’t covered. If a pipe burst and flooded it though, it would be.

Farm Bureau Insurance of FL practices very unethical business practices! DO NOT get insurance with them! I had auto insurance with them and my policy effective date and my insurance card says the effective date ended in 8/12/18. I did not renew the policy and did not pay the renewal policy they sent me because they hiked up my rates even without accidents. I got a better policy premiums else where. They then sent me a bill for a policy I did NOT order for AFTER 8/12/18 including late charges fees for not paying the renewal with them plus 1-month's insurance premium! Then telling me that my policy was cancelled after that one-month. When I called they said Farm Bureau AUTOMATICALLY renewed the policy for me and I owe them one's one premium (even though I did not ask for it)! That is the kind of unethical business practices Farm Bureau does! DO NOT get insurance with them. You will regret it!

My mother-in-law had a catastrophic malfunction with her washing machine on April 5 that has required her to move out of her home, because her home has become a construction site. She has been a Missouri Farm Bureau customer for 30+ years without submitting a single claim. We have been told by contractors that they will not replace the tile floor without adding cement board. MFB has told us they will not pay for the cement board because it would be an upgrade. When the floor was installed, cement board was not used in this process and now no contractor will touch the job without it and MFB won't help us locate a contractor to follow their guidelines. The kitchen is completely torn apart. MFB told us to eat out, then, after we turned in receipts, told us they would not pay for food in certain areas, at certain restaurants, and they don't pay for taxes. There is ONE restaurant in the small town near the home. It is not Burger King. We were also told that they may not pay for our hotel, have offered us minimal assistance in locating a home in our rural area, and refused certain housing accommodations. By contrast, we had a house fire last year in Minneapolis and State Farm is our insurance. They helped us every step of the way and they did not try to Nickel and dime us. When I spoke with Mike Wilson at the MFB home office he explained this by telling me how small MFB was compared to a nationwide company. I have to say, my in-laws chose them because they were small and hoped for more personalized service. Once we get through this miserable experience, we will be changing companies. We will tell anyone who asks that we would never use Farm Bureau and cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone. By the way, the coverage for the house, over $450,000!!! Why this company doesn't allow their clients to remain whole through a crisis is beyond our imagining. Overall it has been an incredibly frustrating experience and it isn't anywhere near over.

**EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM FARM BUREAU!!!!! I have been with them since I started driving. My car is in the shop for almost a week and the adjuster finally looked at my car yesterday!!! They were suppose to look at it the next day NOT 6 DAYS LATER!! They will not cover my damages saying they can or cannot determine the damages to my vehicle is related to the cause. I told them there are only 2 other causes. 1 a wreck (but we know this is not true because there is no outside damage) or 2. I took a crobar and damaged my own radiator. He said well the cost to fix it is less than your deductible. I said no. So far its $882 and my deductible is $500. He said well you shouldnt have taken it to the dealership! And further more I am paying OUT OF POCKET for my rental car. They will not pay for a rental until the adjuster looks at the car. Remind you it took 6 days for them too look at it and I am home alone with 2 little kids and had to work for 4 days! Told them I have always recommended them, but now I will let everyone know how they really are and will be changing insurance companies!

My husband totaled his Jeep Rubicon in a deer collision. The adjuster was horrible. She would not allow us the actual cash value. We had to settle for only half the actual value. This Jeep had several thousand dollars in upgrades. She would not allow any extra money for the upgrades even though she took pictures and did acknowledge that it had several cust0ms upgrades. I have been a customer for 25 years. I would advise anyone to stay away from nc farm bureau and find a more reputable company to buy auto insurance from. I am in the process now of shopping around.

AVOID Farm Bureau like a plague! They cost us hundreds of dollars by literally screwing up almost every simple task we asked them to do: adding vehicles, changing drivers, etc. They would put the wrong info on, fail to respond to calls, give us wrong information: I have never seen such incompetent people!!! The last straw was when they cancelled our auto policy without contacting us or giving us a warning (because we missed a payment, lost in all the 10 letters we would get from them each month every time they had to redo something), and this led to the liability lapse and a ton of fees for each car from the DVM, plate revocation, etc. We finally changed to a new company and it's like night and day -- our current agent responds quickly, professionally, and most importantly does what they are supposed to do.

Had an accident in Nov 2016 and still isn't resolved. Its now Aug 2017. They didn't tell me my claim specialist changed to another person and they haven't contacted me and won't give me an update on the claim. They also won't give me money back for paying for months of insurance i didn't use. They don't care about me or my car. They're staying silent and hoping I'll go away but the issue isn't resolved.

I have been with Farm Bureau for longer than I can remember. I was with the duplin county office and changed to the Jacksonville office. My new agent in Jacksonville is Katy Landrum. She is fantastic. She treats people like people not a number on a piece of paper. I work next to another insurance agency and they are always trying to get me to switch. Extremely dissatisfied with Farm Bureau. We have paid additional to get residential home equipment breakdown coverage. Our heat and air unit outside needs replacement. It has been eleven days since we have filed our claim. We have tried to contact the insurance agent several times. He doe not pick up his phone and neither does he answer back. We were supposed to have an answer latest by the Friday of last week and we have heard nothing yet (today is Monday). Additionally, we have called the agent repeatedly and left him messages but he cannot be bothered to return the class. Very dissatisfied with their extremely unprofessional conduce and handling of my claim. I will not be renewing my insurance with this company. We were a victim of HO cancellation by rejecting auto insurance with Farm Bureau. They claimed to be overextended on coverage and our property was selected to be cancelled though we had no claims in 4 years through hurricane Irene and two violent Northeasters. Our property is in a designated flood plain but the home was built in 2009 to BOCA/IRC code to resist 165mph winds and storm water surge. The home is less at risk to storm damage than 90% of all other property insured by Farm Bureau. We were told after it was too late to sign up for auto insurance, that our HO policy would be cancelled in Feb 2013.
